David shares his
memorable TIP moment
As we celebrate our 30th TIP anniversary what a better way than to reflect on the memories and stories behind each TIP award.
In this photo I am with Theo Hardiman, a multiple recipient of TIP grants over the years.
In this instance, Theo was setting up an Active Transport Workshop where students would complete repairs on student bikes.
Theo also received a TIP grant for a biodiversity project to run at Coburg High School.
Throughout the years it's been a privilege to attend schools and provide funds for truly inspirational projects including an Equine Program at a specialist school, Maths Gardens, Radio Station at a special developmental school, reading and writing programs, tech programs and even a Flight Club.
It is inspirational to see what teachers and students can do with TIP funding.
There’s more to a TIP grant than a handshake and a cheque. Our people have strong relationships within the education sector and, on school visits, see the benefit of TIP funding for grassroots school projects.
