Is there anything better than a lovely, new shiny book? Junior students at Quarry Hill Primary School are enjoying those 'new book feels' thanks to a successful 2023 TIP submission.

The school has implemented a new approach to instructional practice in Prep, Grade 1 and 2 classrooms and new decodable texts were on the top of the wish list to deliver this program as effectively as possible.

The new decodable texts are used in conjunction with the alphabetic code taught as part of the school's reading curriuculum.

A win for the students and for parents at home as they listen to their children read every night as part of their learning journey.

The new readers provide students with an exposure to scenarios they can relate to in a fun and engaging way.
