Bank First’s Teaching Initiatives Program (TIP) 2025 – Terms and Conditions

1. TIP Program Overview

    Victoria Teachers Limited (t/as Bank First) ABN 44 087 651 769 of 117 Camberwell Rd, Hawthorn East VIC 3123 (Bank First) is providing individual grant to successful applicants seeking funding for unique and innovative, education-related initiatives to support the broader education community. A total funding pool of $50,000 is available under this TIP Program for 2025. The following terms and conditions apply to any application submitted under the TIP Program.

    2. Eligibility

      To be eligible to apply for the TIP Program, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

      • be 18 years or older;
      • must be a teacher or an educator who works in preschools, primary and secondary schools across Victoria; and
      • must submit an application by 11.59pm AEST on 30 May 2025. 

      3. TIP Program Timeline

        Entries open on 24 March 2025 and successful applicants will be announced on 13 June 2025. All applicants, whether successful or not, will be notified via email on 13 June 2025.

        4. Grant details

          • The amount granted to successful applicants will depend on the needs of each initiative, ranging between $200 and $4,000 for Bank First Members and up to $2,000 for non-Bank First Members.
          • The funding will be awarded at Bank First’s discretion, based on the assessment of applications received.
          • Bank First’s decision will be final and no correspondence regarding funding outcomes will be entered into.
          • Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. Only successful applicants will receive a grant under the TIP Program.
          • The grant awarded to the successful applicant will be transferred to the school or preschool listed in their application.

          5. People’s Choice Award

            The People’s Choice Award is an initiative by Bank First designed to provide funding support for education-related projects and initiatives. The People’s Choice Award is granted based on a public vote and granted to the recipient with the highest number of online votes.

            • Unsuccessful applicants under the TIP Program will be automatically considered for the People’s Choice Award by Bank First.
            • After the announcement of the outcome of the TIP Program, unsuccessful applicants may receive a media kit containing posters, media release and social media tile to use within their school, and wider community, to generate People’s Choice votes.
            • The project with the most People’s Choice votes will receive $2,000 for their TIP project.
            • All voting will be via Bank First social media channels and website.
            • People’s Choice voting opens on 18 June 2025 and closes on 1 July 2025 at 11.59pm AEST.
            • All People’s Choice voting will be online and is open to the public.
            6. Privacy
              • Bank First is committed to protecting the privacy of applicants. 
              • Personal information collected during the TIP Program will be used for the purpose of administering the TIP Program and in accordance with Bank First's privacy policy (available at available at www.bankfirst.com.au/privacy-policy or by calling 1300 654 822). 
              • With your consent, Bank First may use your personal information to provide you with information about its products, services and content related to financial wellbeing. 
              • By participating in the TIP Program, applicants consent to the use of their personal information as described herein and consent to their images and application information to be utilised by Bank First for promotional purposes.
              • All successful applicants and their winning entries will be published on the Bank First website and may be shared on our social networks and other Bank First publications such as our annual report.

              7. General terms

                • Bank First reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all applicants and to disqualify any applicants who does not comply with these terms and conditions.
                • Bank First reserves the right to amend or withdraw the TIP Program at any time, without prior notice.
                • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bank First is not responsible for any technical errors, delays or other issues that may affect the completion of the application or the issuance of the grant. In the event of a dispute, our decision will be final.
                • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any disputes arising in connection with the program shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Victoria, Australia. 

                By participating in the TIP program, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
