Lucas Primary School

Lucas Primary School’s Grade 5/6 Electives Program offers students the opportunity to participate in programs that focus on developing skills in creativity, fitness, first aid, navigating public transport, and coding.

After launching this program last year, data showed that those who participated in the programs demonstrated greater engagement and fewer behavioural issues.

Students attended school more regularly on program days. Even more impressive, students participated willingly in after-school and weekend training sessions. One program in particular, the Energy Breakthrough Elective, fostered a greater sense of school and community pride. With their TIP grant, Lucas Primary School will be able to provide additional equipment for this program.
