Marysville Primary School was devastated by the fires of 2009. Since then, the school has been rebuilt and has adhered to strict bushfire preparedness guidelines in the years since.
Welcome to the Past will beautify school grounds with a welcoming arbor to mark the school’s entrance. This would replicate the school’s former entrance before the impact of the fires, as a tribute to Marysville Primary School’s rich history.
Students will collaborate with the local Men's Shed to construct a new entrance arbour that resembles the previous one and incorporates Aboriginal design elements, ensuring that it warmly welcomes our Indigenous families and community members to Marysville Primary School.
